Let’s Work to Elect a Governor Who Will Defend Reproductive Freedom: Joyce Craig
Joyce Craig and Kelly Ayotte are tied in the race to replace outgoing Governor Chris Sununu. Kelly Ayotte is vulnerable, and we need to motivate every Undeclared and moderate Republican voter that she cannot be trusted to protect our reproductive rights and freedoms.
Democrats have a real shot at taking the corner office if we remind voters that Ayotte has a terrible, hostile record on reproductive rights, spanning decades. She is as anti-choice as they come.
For example, Kelly Ayotte supports NH’s current 24-week abortion ban, which contains the same “medical emergency” exception language that resulted in the deaths of Amber Thurman and Candi Miller in Georgia. And that’s just the beginning. Read below for all the facts.

This activism is all about educating voters about Republican Ayotte’s record and her untrustworthiness around abortion.
November 5 is almost here. Let’s go! As Vice President Kamala Harris says, when we fight, we win!
Facts about Kelly Ayotte’s Record on Abortion and Reproductive Rights that NH Voters Need to Know!
1. Ayotte voted for a national abortion ban in the U.S. Senate.
2. Ayotte called for the overturning of Roe v. Wade, saying the decision was “wrongly decided.”
3. Ayotte voted four times to defund Planned Parenthood – the biggest provider of low-income reproductive health care in New Hampshire – and pledged to do the same as governor.
4. Ayotte voted for the Blunt amendment and cosponsored the Respect for Rights of Conscience Act, both of which would have allowed insurance companies and employers to deny employees coverage of birth control, fertility treatments like IVF, mental health care, and more.
5. After leaving the U.S. Senate, Ayotte went on to serve the Trump administration as the “sherpa” for then-Supreme Court Justice nominee Neil Gorsuch, who would be the first justice to sign on to the majority opinion in Dobbs, directly helping to “shepherd” in the extreme anti-choice majority that overturned Roe v. Wade.
6. As NH Attorney General, Ayotte championed a parental notification law that lacked a health exception all the way to the US Supreme Court over the objection of then-Governor John Lynch and after two lower federal courts had ruled it unconstitutional. 7. Ayotte supports continuation of NH’s 24-week abortion ban that contains no exception for rape and incest and carries criminal penalties of up to 7 years in prison for doctors. The exception in NH’s abortion ban contains the same hopelessly ambiguous and confusing “medical emergency” language that has led to the deaths of at least two women in Georgia. NH’s exception is only allowed “when continuation of the pregnancy will create a serious risk of substantial and irreversible impairment of a major bodily function.” https://www.wmur.com/article/kelly-ayotte-closeup-washington-dc-abortion-rights/61907657
8. While Kelly Ayotte says: “As governor, I will protect that law,” and “I will not change it.”, NH voters have many reasons to believe otherwise. We cannot trust Kelly Ayotte to protect reproductive freedom because her long anti-choice record shows us exactly the opposite. https://bit.ly/3MUDqXx
